Capturing Moments Photography

capturing life's precious moments before they are lost in time.

See this picture here? That's me...Tammy.It's not the best picture of me, but there's a reason I put in on here. First of all, my husband took this picture. He knows very little about photography and yet, technically speaking, I think he took a great shot. Kudos to you, kurt! But, back to my point...the reason I have this picture here for you to look at. This picture was taken on a random summer night. It was late, but we decided on a whim to go to a local ice-cream shoppe for a tasty treat. We loaded up our little girl, Mary, and headed out. For good measure, I threw the camera in the van. We ate yummy ice-cream and took Mary on a fun walk around town. It was a great night. We ended up taking some pictures too, this being one of them. I love this picture. Even though my hair is a messy ponytail, I'm not wearing make-up, and I look a bit sleepy...I still love this picture. It captured that moment, that night. When I look at this picture, it literally takes me back in time.

And that's the way I work, as a photographer. I aim to catch those pictures, those moments and freeze time for just a minute. I capture photographs of people being themselves. I've been taking pictures my whole life and have loved turning my craft into a gift for my clients. I really believe that pictures...GOOD pictures, should make you feel the way that this silly photograph makes me feel.

Other things you may want to know about me; I'm a native of Winona who just recently moved back with my husband and daughter to be closer to family. I specialize in children and family portraits and enjoy working with natural lighting. I love to scrapbook and decorate and spending time with family is very important to me. I really love a good cheeseburger now and then....but then again, who doesn't?
